主講人介紹：魏軍城教授，加拿大皇家學(xué)會(huì)院士，目前擔(dān)任香港中文大學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)系卓敏講座教授，杰出創(chuàng)科學(xué)人（Global STEM Scholar）。他于2010年榮獲晨興數(shù)學(xué)銀獎(jiǎng)，2014年受邀在國(guó)際數(shù)學(xué)家大會(huì)作報(bào)告。2019年，當(dāng)選加拿大皇家科學(xué)院院士，2020年榮獲加拿大數(shù)學(xué)會(huì)Jeffery-Williams獎(jiǎng)，并獲選為西蒙斯數(shù)學(xué)研究員。魏軍城教授主要研究領(lǐng)域是非線(xiàn)性偏微分方程、凝聚現(xiàn)象與爆破、數(shù)學(xué)生物學(xué)。他完整解決了著名的De Giorgi猜想。自1994年以來(lái)，魏軍城教授已在頂級(jí)期刊（包括《Annals of Mathematics》《Inventiones Mathematicae》《Communications on Pure and Applied Mathematics》《Duke Mathematical Journal》）發(fā)表逾500篇論文。

內(nèi)容介紹：In 2023, one year before he died, Brezis wrote 28 open questions that are challenging and he has resisted. In this talk we solve the first open question completely.
